The Police have arrested three people who were found cutting a sealed Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) envelope containing the mathematics examination paper Monday morning in Butambala, Kibibi.
The three include; Mbayo Mamba Nelson, the Head Teacher, and Resident Director of Namasuba Parents Primary School, in Wakiso.
The other two include; Chris Rutayisire, the distributor of exams, and Micheal Mulindwa, a driver from Nsangi.
“They were intercepted before sharing the Examination paper. So, there was no leakage of the paper,” UNEB said in a statement.
UNEB had earlier advised the candidates and all concerned persons to report directly to the Board any person (could be another candidate, teacher, headteacher, chief invigilator, invigilator, scout or even a UNEB official) suspected to be indulging in examination malpractice.
“The Board will publish the names of all candidates, chief invigilators, invigilators, schools or anyone who will be found having involved themselves in any form of examination malpractice.”
