Kampala, Uganda – January 22, 2025 – The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) announced that the results of the 2024 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) will be officially released tomorrow, Thursday, January 23, 2025.

The release will take place at State House Nakasero by the Minister for Education and Sports, Mama Janet K. Museveni.

According to UNEB Executive Director, Dan N. Odongo, the overall performance of candidates in 2024 is expected to be better than that of 2023.

A total of 798,771 candidates registered for the 2024 examination, an increase of 6.6% compared to the previous year.

He said the official release of the results will be streamed live on both UNEB and Ministry of Education and Sports (MOES) social media platforms starting at 11:00 a.m.

How to Access Results:

  • SMS: Parents and candidates can access results via SMS by typing “PLE” followed by a space, then the full index number, and sending to 6600. For example: “PLE 00123/356” to 6600.
  • School Portals: Schools can access results through their designated portals.
  • District/City/Municipal Inspectors of Schools: Printed copies of results will be available for pickup at the respective offices.
