West Nile — Plascon Uganda, in partnership with Precious Impex, officially opened a new Colour Hero Store in Arua City on April 10, 2025 — a strategic step aimed at strengthening its presence in the West Nile region and enhancing service to both professional painters and individual customers.
The grand opening ceremony brought together more than 100 members of the Arua Plascon Painters Forum, alongside dignitaries, business leaders, and residents. Notable attendees included Arua City Mayor Sam Wadri Nyakua, Resident City Commissioner (RCC) Salim Komakech, and Mr. Pretesh Kotesha, Head of the Indian Community in Arua.

Housed at Precious Impex, the new Colour Hero Store is designed to deliver a comprehensive customer experience focused solely on paint and colour solutions. Customers can now access product availability, expert colour consultancy, product specifications, literature, and the full Plascon product range — all under one roof.
“This Colour Hero Store is more than just a business — it is a vote of confidence in Arua’s potential,” said His Worship Sam Wadri Nyakua, the Mayor of Arua City. “We welcome Plascon’s investment and celebrate this partnership that promises to empower our painters, serve our residents, and boost the economic vibrancy of the West Nile region.”

Plascon selected Arua as a strategic location because of its growing importance as a commercial hub for West Nile, serving surrounding districts such as Adjumani, Moyo, Terego, Madi-Okollo, Yumbe, Nebbi, Obongi, Maracha, Zombo, and Pakwach.
Plascon’s Colour Hero Stores are part of the company’s broader mission to deepen brand loyalty and provide an expert-driven, seamless customer experience across Uganda. The stores aim to equip painters and contractors with the right tools and knowledge while inspiring homeowners and businesses with tailored colour solutions.

“At Plascon, we believe colour has the power to transform not just walls, but lives,” said Mr. Santosh Gumte, Managing Director of Plascon Uganda. “This new Colour Hero Store in Arua brings our full expertise to the region — offering quality products, trusted advice, and a commitment to our customers and professional painters alike.”
The event also featured a spirited march by the Arua Plascon Painters Forum, symbolising the strength and unity of the region’s painting professionals. Although over 100 members participated in the celebration, the association’s broader network continues to grow, signalling rising demand for quality paint solutions.
