After running a successful event at the Uganda museum months ago, the curator of the famous and growing fish Festival took it Eastwards to Jinja.

Held on Sunday at Forever Resort which overlooks the source of the Nile Bridge, the fest took the nature of a family day out than just an ordinary music party.

Being a weekend, parents came along with their children to have an out of the ordinary afternoon.

From fish exhibition, to school and corporate quizzes, live band performances, cook-offs and fish tasting among other activities, spectators had a lot to engage them.

The venue was buzzing with activity as revellers strolled from end to end until singer Cindy Sanyu hit the stage with her dance queens.

Her signature energy-packed performance set the mood to a groovy one for one full hour.

But that wasn’t all the event was to offer to the music lovers. Soon after, it was Dax Kartel of the ‘Batuzala Mubaala’ fame stirring up the crowd. Shortly, kids had flocked the stage to dance alongside him.

SoftPower News was at the fest and brings you a pictorial of what transpired.
