Queen Elizabeth national park continues to be one of the most preferred tourism destinations in Uganda, and the influx of foreign tourists seen in the park during a short media fam trip this week is testament to that.

It is a true representation of the writing ‘A Melody of Wonders’ that one encounters at the newly constructed modern gate at Queen Elizabeth national park.

The park, 400kms outside Kampala, serves numerous sights including hundreds of animal species among them lions, warthogs, antelopes, elephants, African buffaloes, Ugandan kobs, leopards and chimpanzees among others for those who love game drives.

It is home to 95 mammal species and over 500 bird species.

One also gets to enjoy a calm and scenic boat ride at the Kazinga channel where you’ll spot crocodiles, hippos, a variety of bird species  while you bask in a feel of equatorial sun and a cool breeze.

Kazinga channel connects the two lakes of Edward and George.

Queen Elizabeth is just spectacular. Just make time and visit, be it on a weekend or holiday. It’s a worthwhile venture.

SoftPower News now brings you some of the amazing pictures captured from Queen Elizabeth.
