Hannah Karema Tumukunde from Nakeseke district is the new Miss Uganda for the year 2023-24.

Karema succeeds Elizabeth Bagaya who took over from Oliver Nakakande.

She was crowned at a grand finale event held at UMA Multipurpose Hall on Sunday night.

Karema was further rewarded with a brand new Toyota Wish and an opportunity to represent Uganda at the Miss World contest.

She also won Miss Popularity and will represent Uganda in the Miss Elite pageant happening later this year in Egypt.

Whitney Martha Ademun was the first runner-up. Ademun, the Miss Uganda Finalist 2023 Contestant No.18 hails from Eastern Region. She doubles as a quality girl-child education activist.

Prossy Agwang was the second runner-up.

Agwang, the Miss Uganda Finalist 2023 Contestant 21 hails from Kumi district in Teso sub-region, Eastern Uganda.

Jerusha Muwanguzi and Jesca Sserwadda took the two final places in this year’s beauty pageant.

Linda Nassuna Husinah won the Miss Uganda Elite 2023/24. A Miss Uganda 2023-2024 Finalist, Linda is a student at Victoria University, Kampala.

“We have granted her a Fully Paid Scholarship to pursue her Bachelor of Nursing Degree to completion. Furthermore, she is free to return for further studies, at no cost,” the university said on its Twitter handle.
