Yet to be identified people have Sunday hacked into, and took hold of the People Power’s Ghetto TV Facebook page, Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has said.
The hacking was noticed when the facebook page posted President Museveni’s photo saying: “After doing research and analysing the way people power supporters are violating freedom of speech, the survey the survey has showed that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is swearing in again in 2021.
According to activists close to Bobi Wine, hackers have since removed all administrators to the page, taking control of the online TV channel.
Bobi Wine who has linked the state to the hacking says” his teams are doing everything to regain control of the page and asked his supporters to ignore any propaganda that may be posted there.
“A shameful, shameful regime. They are scared by the love broadcasts which Ghetto TV has been doing of all our activities,” he wrote on Facebook slamming government of intolerance”
He added: “The evidence is all over that the regime has never been as panicky as it is now.”
He also aimed a dig at the regime, accusing them of talking of a scientific election, yet can’t even stand a Facebook page.
“Regime operatives have tried so many times to capture my Facebook account and take hold of it, but they have not yet succeeded,” he added.
However, other activists who spoke to this reporter on condition of anonymity pointed to internal disputes among the founders of the page and those who run it today.
