The Ministry of Health together with the Uganda Manufacturers Association, Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda and partners have revealed that the second Edition of the Uganda Pharma & Healthcare Exhibition will take place from February 16-18, 2023, at the UMA Show Grounds Kampala, Uganda.
According to the organizers, the exhibition will be the gateway to the East African Pharma, Medical and Healthcare Business Community in Uganda.
These say that the international expo will provide an immense opportunity to capture the untapped market of the East African Region through Uganda.
The show is one of the shows in the umbrella of upcoming shows being organised in the East African Belt after previous successful editions in Uganda and Tanzania.
The event will be hosting Medical Professionals, Pharmacies, Hospitals, Health Organizations, Importers & Exporters, Decision Makers and Medical Practitioners of the East African Region in Uganda.
Exhibitors from around 8+ countries will be participating in this exhibition looking to explore the untapped potential of the East Africa Market.
Uganda Pharma Healthcare International Expo will have participation of more than 150 exhibitors with the total area occupied by them being around 3000 square metres.
More than 5000 visitors from Uganda and the East African Region will be attending the exhibition during the three days.
Dr Seru Morries, the Commissioner of Pharmacy and Natural Medicine at the Ministry of Health, said the expo comes at a good time when government is trying to do joint ventures with private companies to ease access to medicine.
Dr. Lukwago Muhammad from National Drug Authority asked the local investors in Pharmaceuticals to use this exhibition to showcase medicine produced locally.
