In a related development, he revealed that two terrorists of the ADF were put out of action on August 6, 2023, by the joint forces under Makindye battalion.

This was after the joint forces got in contact with the ADF in Mwalika valley.

Two sub machine guns, 15 rounds of ammunition, and a walkie talkie were recovered.

In the same fight with the ADF, seven abductees were rescued from the ADF and are currently at the joint forces sector headquarters awaiting evacuation and subsequent rehabilitation process.

Maj Katamba called on all ADF rebels who would wish to surrender to the joint forces to use earliest opportunity and report to any joint forces operating within their vicinity.
