Onapito Ekomoloit has been appointed Board Chairman of Nile Breweries Limited.
Prior to his appointment, Onapito has been the Corporate Affairs Director at Nile Breweries Limited (NBL) for over 17 years.
His appointment takes immediate effect from June 1, 2023. He takes over from Elly Karuhanga.
“It’s an honour to continue serving the company in a different capacity,” he said in a statement.
Emmanuel Njuki will take over as the new Legal and Corporate Affairs director.
Onapito has previously served as the press secretary to President Museveni and a Member of Parliament representing Amuria as well as a journalist with Daily Monitor.
He is also a former lecturer at Makerere University.
