The donation comes as part of the Corporation’s corporate social responsibility activities ahead of the Christmas festivities.

Speaking at the event to hand over the items, Dr. Silver Mugisha said that the activity is in line with the gesture is aimed at giving back to the less privileged communities.

“It is more blessing to give than to receive,” he said.

He appreciated the good job the church and other people of good will are doing to look after the children.

“We thought that abstracting dirty water from the lake and cleaning it according to World Health organisation standards was the hardest job. This is another tough job and we commend the Nsambya Babies Home management for the heroic job,” he told the staffers at the home.

He went on to explain that the  children too are customers of NWSC and this matter to the Corporation’s work. He said that NWSC paid water bills for the home and will continue supporting the  children’s home.

On her part, the Director for Child Welfare and Adoption Society (CWAS)  Sr. Sarah Christine Nalwoga appreciated the support from NWSC.

“NWSC paid our water bills which helped to improve access to safe clean water and sanitation in the home. Thank you for coming back again to show more love to these vulnerable children,” she said.

She called upon other people of good will to visit and give back to the home that largely depends on donations from friends, families and other people of good will.

As a custom, for the past years during the Christmas season, NWSC gives back to a number of less privileged communities to enable them enjoy  the Christmas festivities.
