The ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) candidate Acuga Barbra Carolyn has won Muni University guild race.
Acuga, a year 3 Nursing student, was Saturday declared the winner of the MU Guild presidential election 2022/2023 in a tightly contested race with National Unity Platform candidate Mr. Natweta Syson.
She obtained 55.6% of the votes compared to 42.4% obtained by her only contender in the race, Mr. Natweta, a year 3 student of Education.
She becomes the first female guild president in the history of Muni University.
The Students Guild Elections 2022/2023 campaigns started a month ago and climaxed with a joint presidential debate on Access 96.3FM Arua City Radio.
Elections were held on Saturday, 16th April 2022.
