The NRM Turkey Chapter Chairman, Husein Wasswa has appealed to government and officials from the ruling party to come out and offer all the necessary medical attention to one of the party cadre and mobilizer, Hamza Mpaanga who is suffering from severe kidney failure.

The NRM strong supporter was reportedly airlifted back to Kampala recently after doctors in Instanbul Turkey discharged him due to accumulating bills.

Wasswa told SoftPower News that Mpaanga who had dedicated most of his time serving the party in different capacities in Turkey has battled with the ailment for the last two months.

“We had been admitted for this long not until the doctors this way told us that they can’t continue with treating him given the huge hospital bills which they had to fore-go but allow him return to Uganda,” Wasswa said.

“We appreciate the Ugandan Community members in Turkey who have done their best eversince our brother fell sick. We also appreciate Bryan White who contributed towards transport faire to have our brother airlifted back home,” Wasswa said.

He added that Mpaanga is currently admitted in Kiruddu hospital though in dare need of specialised treatment since both his kidneys are infected which he can’t afford now having used up all his money.

“It is at this point that we appeal to all well-wishers, NRM officials, NRM Diaspora Chairman Abbey Walusimbi and other concerned Ugandans to come out to his aid,” Wasswa said.

Speaking out before being airlifted to Entebbe, Mpaanga appreciated whoever offered him the relevant support and help while still in Turkey.

“I have been in Turkey for now two years but just recently I got badly off and when I was admitted, I was diagnosed and told that my kidneys were both infected and that I was born with the condition which I didn’t know,” Mpaanga said.

“I was told that to live a little longer, I should be put on paralysis so as to support my kidneys. This I was told is a bit expensive and indeed I have been the sole bread winner of my mother and my siblings.”

He appealed to everyone who can do anything towards his hospital bills back home to come to his rescue. He at the same time called on Bryan White who helped to top up his travel bills back home.
