Dalton Kaweesa has been appointed the General Manager of NilePost, a subsidiary of Next Media Services Limited.
Kaweesa will also double as the Chief News Editor of the Naguru-based Next Media.

“My focus is to grow the efficiency of the company,” he told SoftPower News on Monday.
He added:”[And] drawing strategies for both business and growing its readership.”
Before ascending to the role of Chief News Editor, he was serving as the Deputy Chief News Editor of the media conglomerate.
“Dalton likes challenges and he always accomplishes them,” his colleague Canary Mugume told SoftPower News.
“I trust that this new role is a challenging one and he will accomplish it,” added Mugume, an investigative journalist and news anchor at NBS TV.
Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze said in a tweet: “Keeping Dalton Kaweesa, you can even go beyond the sky even when they say it is the limit.”
Businessman Dennis Kavuma (print and publications) also praised Kaweesa for moving through the ladders and reaching greater heights.
“Have seen you grow through ladders right from RP days. This doesn’t surprise me considering your intelligence…more bigger things to your way boss,” said Kavuma.

A talk show host and news producer, Kaweesa has co-hosted the “NBS Morning Breeze” program which runs every morning and “NBS Barometer”, a Luganda program that airs every Thursday.
He joined NBS Television in 2014 as a presenter and news producer.
Prior, he worked with Uganda Radio Network (URN) as the Chief Conflict (war) and Political Reporter from April 2012-April 2013.
He has worked with Galaxy FM and Juice FM.
Kaweesa holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a Master’s degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University.
