She Cranes Friday returned to their winning ways during their encounter with Malawi in a Netball World Cup 2023 match held in Cape Town, South Africa.
The cranes sealed the evening with a 57-46 victory over their opponents.
“Another win for us!” the Uganda Netball Federation tweeted.
Uganda now moves into their final classification match for 5th-6th position against either South Africa or Tonga.
The ‘beast’ Shadia Nassanga scooped a third Player of the Match accolade, the only one with that record so far in this tournament.
On Thursday, Uganda lost to hosts South Africa in a close 52-50 thriller.
South Africa avenged their 2022 Commonwealth Games loss to Uganda but the result ended the Proteas’ hopes of progressing to the semifinals as they needed to secure an unlikely victory margin of more than 64 goals and keep their opponents from scoring more than 20 to make that happen.
