In order to serve her customers better, National Water and Sewerage Corporation is phasing out physical bills and has introduced electronic-billing.
The exercise is being piloted in select NWSC service areas in Kampala.
The electronic billing brings ease and convenience to the customer in accessing, receiving and managing their water and sewerage bills, account statements and much more.
“You can now receive your bill by SMS on your phone, email address, check it on the NWSC website,” said management in a statement on Friday.
How it works:
It is very simple and convenient.
You will receive an SMS message showing units consumed and your outstanding bill at the end of the month.
Attached to the SMS message is a link, which you can click and view your detailed water bill. This works for both analog and smart phones.
“NWSC requests her customers to update their contact details including an active phone number and email address to enable us serve you better,” management noted, adding:
“Our service centers are open for those who may wish to visit. Standard Operating Procedures issued by Ministry of Health apply.”
