The First Lady of Uganda Maama Janet K Museveni has asked visiting First Ladies to find time and return with their families, and explore the breathtaking beauty of Uganda.
Mrs Museveni made the remarks during a buffet hosted at State House Entebbe, organized for spouses of Heads of states who were attending the NAM and G77+ China Summits in Munyonyo.
Mrs Museveni applauded the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities for showcasing the best of Uganda through continued promotion and conservation.
Earlier in the day, the visiting delegations, were hosted at the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Entebbe, for a glimpse of what Uganda has to offer.
The delegations were received by the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Lukiya Nakadama, who represented Mrs Museveni, together with the Tourism Minister, Hon.Tom Butime, State Minister for Tourism, Martin Mugarra, among others.
With UWEC being a gateway window into what our iconic National Parks entail, the 1st Ladies were led into a behind the scenes guided tour of the wonderful projects to understand the vital role played by UWEC to the conservation, rehabilitation and protection of efforts in Uganda.
The guests were amazed by the developments at UWEC where Lions were the most captivating cats, and the beautifully stripped white Tiger.
Guests also enjoyed the territorial Chimpanzees whose level of intelligence and critical thinking at solving life problems left everyone in awe.
