Born on February 2, 1995, in Lubya, Mpenja, Gomba District, Nalubega Aidah Bukenya grew up surrounded by Uganda’s rich culture and traditions.
From a young age, she exhibited a natural flair for performance, often entertaining her family and community with her vibrant personality. Little did they know, this village girl would one day become one of Uganda’s most promising actresses and entrepreneurs.
Bukenya’s journey into the limelight began in 2021 when she joined Aromatic Entertainment, one of Uganda’s top film production companies.
Her debut role came in the hit movie “Best Friend,” where she played the memorable character Jalia. Her authentic performance quickly captured the hearts of audiences, earning her recognition as a rising star in Uganda’s film industry.
Before her big-screen debut, Bukenya honed her craft working with three major Ugandan television stations, gaining valuable experience in front of the camera.
Never one to be confined to a single path, Bukenya took a strategic pause from acting to pursue another passion: beauty and cosmetics.
Recognizing a gap in Uganda’s beauty market, she founded ABC Cosmetix, a premium cosmetics brand specializing in skincare and beauty products. Bukenya didn’t just dive in blindly; she equipped herself with professional qualifications in cosmetology, ensuring her brand would stand out for its quality and expertise.
Today, ABC Cosmetix has grown into a respected name, with Bukenya serving as both the visionary founder and hands-on CEO.
What makes Bukenya’s story remarkable is her ability to excel in multiple fields simultaneously. While building her beauty empire, she has kept one foot in entertainment, leaving the door open for future acting projects.
Her journey reflects a modern, multifaceted approach to success – one where passion, education, and entrepreneurship intersect.
Off-screen, Bukenya remains deeply connected to her roots, often sharing glimpses of her life and work on social media, particularly on TikTok (@nalubegaaida01), where she inspires young Ugandans to pursue their dreams relentlessly.
With her cosmetics brand flourishing and her acting career on hold but not forgotten, the future looks bright for Nalubega Aidah Bukenya.
Whether she returns to the screen full-time or focuses on expanding ABC Cosmetix, one thing is certain: her story of village girl to screen star to businesswoman will continue to inspire many.
Success isn’t about choosing one path – it’s about having the courage to walk many.
