In a go-back-to-school bonanza, two musicians have decided to return to class and pursue studies that they cut halfway to join the music industry.
Dr Lawrence Muganga, the Vice-Chancellor of Victoria University, said AgaNaga and Baby Gloria have since enrolled and are now their students.
“Congratulations to Singer & ‘Teacher’ Sadat Mukibi aka Kalifah Aganaga for graciously choosing to return to school & @VUKampala to pursue his Degree Program,” Dr Muganga tweeted.
He added: “As your VC, I am proud of you & happy for you.”
In response, AgaNaga tweeted: “The vice-president attending classes at
@VUKampala. This is why I have been lost on social media these days, Course works tests and discussions.”
Dr Muganga said another incredible student Gloria Murungi Ssenyonjo aka Baby Gloria chose Victoria University to be her future Alma Mater. “Welcome to @VUKampala, We’re the University of YOU,” he tweeted.
The university then shared pictures of Gloria Mulungi sharing a moment with her colleague– Christine Nakabuye; at Victoria University.
“We pride ourselves in having the best environment for any student. We are the University of U. http://vu.ac.ug,” it tweeted.
In the heat of the moment, Dr Muganga further invited singer George William Kigozi professionally known as Geosteady to also enroll and further his studies at Victoria University.
“@geosteadyOffici, I know you’re a great musician. I’m also reliably informed that you’re such an incredible student & u have amazing grades. In honoring the wishes of my followers, I invite u to @VUKampala to complete your studies – come finish what u started bro,” Dr Muganga tweeted.
