President Museveni has met a delegation from Germany led by Minister of State and Head of the State Chancellery, Mr Oliver Schenk.
They discussed possible business opportunities during the Tuesday meeting at State House, Entebbe.
“I am glad to see groups like this coming to Africa where there is a lot of business potential,” Museveni noted.
He said Africa has a lot of natural resources with big business opportunities that need to be utilised.
“We can for instance make medicine from plants and this would be a good area of cooperation. We have medicines like Covidex, it is from our plants here and doing well,” Museveni noted.
Meanwhile, Museveni also hosted the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation and discussed a number of bilateral issues.
“I also agreed to lift the ban on Democratic Governance Facility (DGF), to run till December 2022, with Government represented in the decision-making structures,” he noted.
He added: “I shall formally communicate our position to the relevant government departments.”
