President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will visit the Bunyoro Sub-Region on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, as part of his ongoing Parish Development Model (PDM) performance assessment tour.
According to a statement by the Presidential Press Unit (PPU), the President’s visit will focus on evaluating the impact of the PDM, a government initiative aimed at uplifting Ugandans from subsistence farming into the money economy.
During the tour, President Museveni is expected to engage with various stakeholders, including local leaders, farmers, and beneficiaries of the PDM programme.
“The President will visit selected PDM beneficiaries and model farmers, meet stakeholders including various categories of leaders, have an engagement with the media, and address a public rally,” the PPU statement read.
The PDM, which was launched in 2022, aims to support Ugandans at the grassroots level by providing financial resources, training, and access to markets.
