Uganda has so far recorded 36 cumulative Ebola cases with 18 confirmed and 18 probable cases.
As of 25th September 2022, the Ministry of Health confirmed two new cases and two new deaths.
This brings the cumulative Ebola deaths to 23 (5 confirmed deaths and 18 probable deaths).
The ministry said active cases on admission are now 35.
On Monday, the Presidential Press Unit- PPU said that H.E. the President of the Republic of Uganda and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda People’s Defense Forces; Gen. (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will address the nation on the outbreak of Ebola and other important national issues.
The address will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, starting at 8.00pm.
The national address will be live on all radio and TV stations.
“Accordingly, the Uganda Communications Commission is hereby called upon to communicate to all the media houses across the country to air this address,” said PPU in a statement.
