President Museveni who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces has promoted and appointed two more Senior UPDF Officers.
Colonel Paul Muhanguzi has been promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed Second Infantry Division – Second-in-Command.
Colonel Peter Akankunda has been promoted to Brigadier General and appointed First Infantry Division – Second-in-Command.
“The Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs and UPDF fraternity congratulate the Senior Officers upon their well-deserved promotions and appointments,” said UPDF spokesperson Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye while announcing the promotions on Monday.
