President Museveni has appointed a new team to head the Public Service Commission.
In a June 6 letter to the Speaker of Parliament, Museveni appointed the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the Public Service Commission with 7 other members.
“By virtue of powers given to the president under Article 165(2) of the Constitution I hereby appoint the following persons to the Public Service Commission,” reads part of the letter also copied to the Vice President, Prime Minister and Minister for Public Service.
The team will be headed by Winnie Agnes Kabogoza Musoke as the chairperson, and deputized by Francis Oryang Lagony.
Lagony replaces former Presidential Principle Private Secretary, Dr. Hilda Musubira, who died in April.
Others include; Grace Tubwita, Hajjat Kamulegeya Jamillah, Mugisa Michael, Beingna Mukibi, Titus Kisambira Mutanda, Olaunah Emmanuel Ourum and Adah Kabarokole Muwanga, as members to the commission.
“This is therefore to forward their names and curriculum vitae to you for parliamentary approval,” the letter noted.
