He further tasked the Prime Minister and the Attorney General to get in touch with the families of the deceased and those injured to ensure that the truck owners compensate them.

He made the remarks on Thursday addressing a special plenary sitting held at Kololo Ceremonial grounds.

The accident that happened on Tuesday, saw a truck registration number, UBL 790J ram into a classroom block at Kasaka Secondary School in Kanoni Town Council, Gomba District.

Traffic Police spokesperson, ASP Faridah Nampiima, noted that the Sino truck driver allegedly lost control and rammed into the school fence, proceeding through to the school computer lab that was occupied by students causing fatalities.

The truck driver has since been arrested.
