President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni convened a meeting with a delegation of scientists from Kiira Motors Corporation at State House Entebbe to discuss the progress of the Kayoola buses and explore opportunities for regional market expansion.

Led by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Hon. Dr. Monica Musenero, the delegation briefed President Museveni on the advancements made with the Kayoola buses.

Discussions centred on collaboration strategies to enhance the positioning of the buses for the regional market.

During the meeting, the CEO of Kiira Motors Corporation, Mr. Paul Isaac Musasizi, informed President Museveni that the buses had undergone successful testing in the market and received positive feedback from clients regarding their efficiency.

He highlighted that the buses had collectively travelled over 600,000 kilometres on routes in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania without any issues, showcasing the corporation’s dedication to providing high-quality products for the market.

President Museveni reiterated his steadfast support for Kiira Motors Corporation.

The delegation also included Hon. John Mulimba, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs – Regional Affairs and Professor Sandy Stevens Tickodri Togboa, a key contributor to Kiira Motors Corporation.
