The President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E Gen. (rtd). Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has arrived in the Burundi capital, Bujumbura.
He will attend the 11th Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Signatory Countries of the Framework Agreement for Peace, Security and Cooperation for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and the region.
“I have left for Bujumbura to attend the regional oversight meeting on Peace, Security and Cooperation for DRC and the Region, at the invitation of H.E Évariste Ndayishimiye,” he tweeted.
He was seen off at Entebbe International Airport by the Head of Public Service and Mbonye. to Cabinet, Mrs. Lucy Nakyobe.
The President was received on arrival in Bujumbura by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (Regional Co-operation), Hon. John Mulimba and the Ugandan Ambassador to Burundi, Maj. Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza.
