President Museveni has been honoured with a Social and Economic Commitment Award by the European Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East (ECAM) in Rome, Italy.
Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja received the award on behalf of the President at the ECAM dinner.
It was attended by Heads of State and Government, including Kenya’s President H.E. William Ruto and Somalia’s President H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
ECAM praised President Museveni and the Ugandan government for welcoming refugees from several African countries and beyond.
Various leaders from Africa also attended the Italy-Africa Summit in Rome.
Nabbanja who represented Museveni at the summit, also delivered a keynote address.
Last year, she delivered a keynote address at the 4th ECAM Council annual summit, which discussed food security.
This year’s summit focused on healthcare and investments.
The ECAM Council is a platform that promotes interaction between business and government leaders from various parts of the world.
The Premier highlighted several investment opportunities in health and other areas in Uganda before inviting potential investors to Uganda.
