“Today, Maama Janet and I registered to renew our National Identification Cards in Nakasero. I urge every eligible Ugandan to do the same for improved service delivery,” Museveni said on X.

The registration process is a key pillar of national security, aimed at ensuring all citizens are integrated into the country’s identity framework. Enhanced biometric technology embedded in these ID cards offers a secure and unalterable method of identity verification.

This exercise highlights the government’s commitment to strengthening national identity systems while supporting broader goals of socio-economic transformation.
