President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed former National Social Security Fund (NSSF) managing director Richard Byarugaba and Moses Sabiti as senior presidential advisors on exports and industrial development.
The appointments were announced as part of efforts to strengthen Uganda’s export performance.
According to President Museveni, the two advisors will support the exports secretariat in his office “to get better results.”
Byarugaba, a prominent Ugandan business executive and banker, most recently leads Old Mutual Investment Group as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He brings extensive experience in finance and institutional management.
Sabiti is a former country director of TradeMark East Africa and has been serving as the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID).
