MTN Uganda has today announced a free music concert to for its Mobile Money customers.

The announcement made at a surprise press conference has drawn visible excitement from local artistes present at the briefing which took place at MTN Towers, along Hannington road.

The concert dubbed Ekivvulu kya MTN Mobile Money, will take place on Sunday 20th August 2017 at Wankulukuku Grounds, Kampala. Gates open at 10am.

The concert is FREE for all MTN Mobile Money customers. All they have to do is to make at least 5 transactions in the month of August.

Each customer who wins will receive an SMS confirming your invitation.

Announcing the surprise concert, MTN’s new General Manager Mobile Financial Services, Elsa Muzzolini stated that the event is a celebration of the month long MTN Mobile Money Month, “It’s been a month long journey in which we have engaged, connected and rewarded our customers in the first ever MTN Mobile Money Month”.

The MTN Mobile Money month activities have been themed #Enkolera which means ‘it works for me.’

Launched in 2009 and with currently over 8 million customers, MTN Mobile Money has transformed the lives and fortunes of many Ugandans. From providing employment, to easing and reducing the cost of doing business, MTN Mobile Money continues to be the fastest growing service under MTN’s portfolio of services.

#Enkolera is testimony of how MTN Mobile Money has changed the fortunes of Ugandans and the country.

During the MTN Mobile Money month, customers have been engaged through countrywide MTN Mobile Money clinics and have won prizes and customers with various issues have also been fully reconnected to the service.

The concert is the climax to the mobile money month activities of engaging and reconnecting customers.

”MTN however commits to continue engaging and delivering convenient mobile money solutions to the public. Some really exciting days lie ahead of us and our customers should be expectant”, added Ms. Muzzolini

The performances lined up for the concert is impressive, with a mix of all music genres and a host of Ugandan finest performers – old and new hits, young and old, kandongo kamu and afro beat, the entire mix is all there. Customers who will attend the concert will also wins prizes including t-shirts and boda bodas.

Some of the artistes who will be performing at the Ekivvulu kya MTN Mobile Money include the new Member of Parliament (MP) for Kyadondo East, Hon. Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert a.k.a Bobi Wine, Chameleone, Cindy, Ronald Mayinja, Juliana Kanyomozi, Catherine Kusasira and Irene Ntale among many others.

The MTN Mobile Money Ekivvulu is organised by events powerhouse Balaam Marketing agency who promised a top notch event “We have already started practicing individually with the artistes to ensure that the concert is one that will not be forgotten.”
