Muslims at Gaddafi and Kibuli mosques were yesterday treated to a joyous Eid celebrations by Movit products having donated to them a number of food items to aid them through the celebrations.
The items donated included; sugar, rice, cooking oil, Soap, wheat, basins and a number of Movit items.
Movit Assistant Marketing manager, Musa Mutebi noted that the company has considered giving back to the Muslims who have been fasting during the holy month as part of their Cooperate Social Responsibility policy.
“We are here to add on what the mosque has to enable Muslims have better Eid celebrations; we are not the best and it’s not that we have much but we share the little we have with them as an expression of love,” Mutebi said.
Mutebi said that they have given a number of items to different Muslims in a round seven mosques in the country including; Gaddafi, Kibuli and the regional mosques in Masaka, Mbarara, Mbale
At Gaddafi Mosque, the second Deputy Imaam, Ali Juma appreciated the kind heart extended by Movit to thr muslims in the country.
“On behalf of the Mosque community of Gaddafi Mosque, I take this opportunity to thank and appreciate Movit Company for always considering our Muslims at the mosque by giving them a number of items to enable them enjoy Eid celebrations,” Juma said.
Juma thanked the management and prayed to Allah to always bless the management for having a loving heart and pledged continue supporting them by encouraging more consumption of their products.
“What we have heard and what we are seeing, we pray for our brother Birungi for Allah to help him go through the moments he is in,” he said.
“We pray that at the end of the day, he comes out of the predicaments safely, we should all be patient because it is through patience that Allah will grant our prayers,” Juma prayed.
Similar donations were made by Movit to the Muslim community in the districts of Mbarara and Mbale.
