The Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister, Keith Muhakanizi, has ordered Mr Aipikor Steven, the driver to the Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs, Jennifer Namuyangu, to report to Uganda Police Force on Tuesday February 7, 2023, at 10:00.

The directive follows a public outcry about the driver of a government vehicle registration UG-0915Z which reportedly damaged a child’s suitcase at Buddo Secondary School over the weekend.

One of the parents who witnessed the incident used social media to appeal for help.

Muhakanizi, in his directive, told Aipikor that the offence he committed is “very grave and puts the image of the Office of the Prime Minister to disrepute.”

He also directed the driver to show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against him.

“Your written response should be submitted to my Office not later than 7th February, 2023,” Muhakanizi’s letter read.
