Busoga Parliamentary caucus has Friday resolved to dismiss as well as institute criminal proceeds against State Minister for Lands, Princess Persis Namuganza.

The decison was taken by 13 caucus members who accuse the Minister of unbecoming conduct and her abuse of the person of the Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and the Kyabazinga of Busoga.

Namuganza had been summoned to the caucus on Friday to explain why she mobilized masses to threaten and cause injury, harm and kill both Kyabazinga and Speaker Rebecca Kadaga while at a social function in Bukono constituency that she represents.

However, Namuganza did not turn up for Friday’s meeting which prompted members to take such actions against her.

Bukooli North County MP and legal counsel to the caucus, Gaster Mugoya said; “Namuganza has dismissed from the caucus as well and banned from doing her activities in any of other Busoga constituency apart from hers”.

Mugoya said that President Yoweri Museveni and Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda will be notified about their decision by Monday.

The caucus Vice Chairman, Grace Moses Balyeku yesterday said that Namuganza is alleged to have severally insulted Kadaga, the people of Kamuli and belittled the current Kyabazinga of Busoga.

According to Balyeku, Namuganza, on repeated occasions this year used social media to abuse and insulted the people of Kamuli district and part of Namutumba district as being filthy and unhygienic in the whole of Busoga region.

She is also accused of bashing Kadaga as “being unqualified, unfit and improper” to hold the office of the Kamuli district woman Member of Parliament, while at a rally in Namutumba district.
