Minister Jeje Odongo Receives Letters of Credence from New Turkish Ambassador

Hon. Gen Jeje Odongo, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, on Wednesday, February 9, received copies of Letters of credence from H.E. Mehmet Fatih AK, the Ambassador- Designate of the Republic of Türkiye to Uganda.

In his remarks, the Minister hailed excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

He also welcomed H.E. Mehmet Fatih to Uganda and reiterated Uganda’s commitment to further bolster the excellent bilateral cooperation in key sector areas of Health, Trade, Agriculture, Defence & Infrastructural development for the mutual benefit of both countries.

The Minister also conveyed his deepest condolences to the Government and People of the Republic of Türkiye following the devastating Turkey earthquake that recently occurred claiming thousands of lives and led to mass destruction of property.
