Makerere Journalism and Communication Department Elevates 3 Lecturers

Makerere University Department of Journalism and Communication has elevated three members to the position of lecturer.

Dr Charlotte K. Ntulume was promoted to Lecturer in the Department of Journalism and Communication.

Dr Brian Semujju was promoted to Senior Lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Communication.

Dr Nakiwala Aisha Sembatya, Ag. Head of Department, Department of Journalism and Communication, was also promoted to Senior Lecturer.

The department has for two decades maintained a vibrant training programme in Journalism and Communication education in Uganda.

The Department aims to continuously improve the quality of academic programmes, teaching, learning and research through regular curriculum and staff evaluations, controlled enrollment, student support services and staff development.

Dr Nakiwala Aisha Sembatya

It offers a Bachelor’s of Journalism and Communication; a Postgraduate Diploma in Investigative Journalism; and Master’s in Journalism and Communication.

It also offers a Thesis-only Doctoral degree in Journalism and Communication.
