President Museveni and the Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) has made changes in both command and administration of the army.
The Military Police commander, Maj Gen Don Nabasa, has replaced Brig Joseph Balikuddembe as the UPDF Third Infantry Division Commander based in Moroto, Karamoja.
Brig Balikuddembe will undergo a strategic course at National Defence College-Uganda.
Brig Gen William Bainomugisha will replace Nabasa as the Commandant of the Military Police.
UPDF spokesperson, Felix Kulaigye, said Brig Gen Keith Katungi has been appointed the 5th Infantry Commander.
Brig Gen James Kinalwa has been appointed the new Chief of Personnel and Administration in the UPDF.
Brig Gen Eugene Ssenkumba Ssebugwawo will head the National Emergency Coordination Centre in the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM).
Brig Gen Micheal Kabango is now the Fourth Infantry Division Commander.
