LDC Student Nakiboneka Jalia Dies in Road Accident

Law Development Centre (LDC) is mourning the death of one of its students who was killed in a road accident. 

Nakiboneka Jalia, who is attached to the Lira Campus, died in an accident that happened on Thursday at 2:30 PM in Makerere-Kavule.

She was crushed by a trailer truck while travelling on a boda boda.

“It is a dark day at LDC! We regret to announce the death of our student, Nakiboneka Jalia of Lira Campus. Jalia was doing her Clerkship (Internship),” the institution tweeted. 

The Office of the Guild President said Jalia will be buried today, Friday at her ancestral home in Bukandula, Kateete in Gomba district. 

A similar accident recently claimed the life of Minister Sam Mayanja’s daughter, Belinda Birungi, along Ntinda Stretcher Road.
