Entebbe – His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, the Kyabazinga of Busoga, and His Majesty Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru Rukidi IV of Tooro Kingdom have held fruitful discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two cultural institutions.
The two monarchs, who met President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House Entebbe, emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage while fostering socio-economic development in their respective regions.
The meetings came at a symbolic time, as King Oyo marked his 30th coronation anniversary and Kyabazinga Nadiope celebrated his 11th coronation anniversary within the same week.

Later, the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among also met the two monarchs at State House. She commended their commitment to cultural preservation and community development, noting that cultural institutions remain essential partners in advancing government programs at the grassroots level.
“The government values the contribution of cultural leaders in promoting unity, cultural identity, and socio-economic transformation,” Speaker Among said, pledging enhanced collaboration between cultural institutions and state agencies.
The meeting underscored the growing recognition of Uganda’s cultural leaders as key stakeholders in fostering development while safeguarding the country’s rich heritage.
