The Millennium Grounds in Lugogo will transform into a pulsating hub of African music this Saturday, August 16, 2025, as Uganda’s legendary Afrigo Band marks its 50-year milestone with a star-studded Golden Jubilee celebration.

Organised by Talent Africa Group and presented by Stanbic Bank, the historic concert will feature a special guest appearance from Congolese music icon Koffi Olomide, who jetted into Kampala this week ready to electrify fans alongside Afrigo Band.

The night promises a rich blend of nostalgia and world-class entertainment as Afrigo Band—Uganda’s longest-running and most celebrated band—takes audiences on a journey through five decades of timeless hits, soulful melodies, and cultural pride.

Koffi Olomide will bring his signature explosive high notes, deep baritone, and infectious dance rhythms to the stage, joining forces with Uganda’s finest for what organisers are calling “history in the making.”

Flash Sale on Tickets

Fans eager to be part of the milestone celebration can take advantage of a special FlexiPay Flash Sale on Wednesday, August 13, from 2 PM to 10 PM. Discounted rates will see Bronze tickets drop from UGX 50,000 to UGX 40,000, while Silver tickets will fall from UGX 125,000 to UGX 80,000.

Standard and VIP packages remain available, with Bronze at UGX 60,000, Silver at UGX 125,000, and premium table options ranging from UGX 3 million for Gold (8 seats) to UGX 10 million for Platinum (10 seats). Tickets can be purchased via the FlexiPay app, available on the App Store and Google Play.

The event is supported by an impressive line-up of sponsors, including Tusker Malt, Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Toyota, Pepsi, and the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), among others.

With two African music powerhouses sharing one stage, this Saturday’s concert is set to be an unforgettable celebration of talent, heritage, and the enduring power of live performance.
