KCC Veterinary Doctor Dies at Akamwesi Shopping Mall

A veterinary doctor working with Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), has died.

Luke Owoyesigyire, Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, said Dr Kamugisha Godfrey Mwesigwa was found dead in his car Sunday at around 2pm.

Officers from Kanyanya Police Station found him dead in his car opposite Akamwesi Shopping Mall gate in Kyebando suburb.

“When our police teams responded, the deceased was found seated in his vehicle and unresponsive,” Owoyesigyire said.

He was rushed to Mulago hospital where a doctor confirmed his death.

The body was conveyed to city mortuary by the police team.

According to Owoyesigyire, the cause of death is currently unknown.

“We await for the findings by the pathologists. More details will availed as soon as possible. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
