The Uganda Military Academy, Kabamba has received two Toyota Hiace vehicles aimed at supporting the Bachelor of Defence Studies program.
The Chief of Training and Recruitment, Brig Gen Matthew Gureme, said that these will go a long way to ease the transportation of professors and lecturers as they conduct the Degree Program under Makerere University.
He said this while handing over the vehicles at the Ministry of Defence and Veteran Affairs Headquarters, Mbuya.
The Dean School of Social Sciences at Makerere University, Professor Andrew Ellias State, said the vehicles will go a long way in assisting the timely delivery of the 3-year Bachelor of Defence Studies program as approved by the National Council of Higher Education.
The Commandant Uganda Military Academy, Kabamba Brig Gen Charles Byaruhanga, thanked the Chieftaincy of Training and Recruitment for the support towards ensuring the success of the program which started in 2019 and is set to commission its first intake in September.
He added that the Academy is looking forward to receiving students from East African Community Partner State, come the subsequent intakes.
