Uganda marathoner and World champion Joshua Cheptegei has won the 2024 Olympics Men’s 10,000 Meters Final in Paris.
All the glory went to Uganda on Friday as Cheptegei powered to 10,000m gold in an Olympic record of 26:43.14 in Paris, France.
Berihu Aregawi from Ethiopia came in second position with 26:43.44.
Grant Fisher got a bronze medal for the U.S with 26:43.46.
This is Uganda’s first gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Reigning Olympic champion Selemon Barega of Ethiopia took seventh place in 26:44.48.
