The first lady Janet Museveni, Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) secretariat among others have celebrated president Yoweri Museveni’s 77th birthday.
President Museveni was born on September 15, 1944 in Ntungamo, he on Wednesday turned 77.
Through her social media platforms, Janet Museveni wished president Museveni good health and blessings from God.
“Dear Kaguta Museveni, we are continually thankful for your life, health, strength and for every kindness of God towards you.”
“May the blessings of the Lord always surround and pursue you as you lead our family and lead the country. Have a wonderful birthday and a blessed year,” Janet Museveni posted.
In a reply, Museveni said he wants to spend 100 years with Janet, describing her as his cornerstone, and best friend.
“Thank you so much Maama! Even on this day, I continue to praise God for giving me the precious gift that you are. You are my cornerstone, my best friend, my lifelong companion! I look forward to reaching 100 together,” Museveni said.
The speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah said “I am honoured to wish Your Excellency President @KagutaMuseveni a happy 77th birthday and send you my best wishes for all your days to come,”
The Prime minister, Robinah Nabbanja said, “Happiest Birthday @KagutaMuseveni . We celebrate Your achievements as a freedom fighter, Patriot and Pan-Africanist. You are an Icon whose Legacy in pursuit of Africa’s interests will forever stay in our hearts.Many More years of your excellent Leadership!@KagutaMuseveni.”
The NRM, Deputy Secretary General, Rosemary Namayanja, asked God to continue protecting President Museveni aa he secures Uganda’s future
“A Happy birthday Father of the nation. May God continue protecting you as you secure our country’s future,” Namayanja said.
She described president Museveni as a Global icon, national leader and vision bearer.
