The jailed former NSSF MD David Chandi Jamwa has expressed his disastfication with the court of Appeal’s judgement which upheld the 12 year jail term handed to him by Anti corruption court in 2011

Jamwa through his lawyer Frederick Mpanga has lodged in the Supreme Court a notice of Appeal where he has expressed his disatisfacation with the judgement of the two justices of court of Appeal

On Monday this week , the Court of Appeal cancelled Jamwa’s bail and returned him to Luzira prison to start on the journey of serving his 12 year sentence that was handed down to him in 2011 by the Anti-corruption court for causing NSSF a Shs 3.1bn loss.

In this notice Jamwa says he is aggrieved with the decision of justice Kenneth Kakuru and Opiyo Aweri who after analyzing the High court evidence on record convicted him of another charge of abuse of office where they sentenced him to four years in jail

But he was ordered to serve these sentences concurrently which means that he will serve 12 years.

In 2011 the Anti corruption High court judge justice John Bosco Katutsi convicted Jamwa of abuse of office after selling off Pre-mature NSSF bonds to Crane Bank which occasioned a 3 .1 billion shillings loss to the fund.

Jamwa petitioned the court of Appeal and he was granted bail pending the disposal of his appeal.
