Immigration Arrests 8 Chinese Nationals for Working in Uganda Illegally

The Directorate of Immigration has arrested eight Chinese Nationals who were found working in Uganda illegally.

According to Immigration, the eight individuals were arrested in a stone quarry in Kyampisi, Kyabakadde, Mukono district.

They were working without work permits, according to a statement from immigration.

“They, like all illegal immigrants, we routinely arrested and will be prosecuted as per the laws of Uganda.”

It added: “Operations on illegal immigrants continue in earnest. All foreigners should legalise their stay.”
