The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) has officially announced its new governing Council for the 2025–2027 term.
The Council, constituted in accordance with Section 8 of the Accountants Act, will oversee the strategic direction and governance of the Institute over the next two years.
The newly appointed Council comprises distinguished professionals from both the public and private sectors.
1. CPA Timothy David Ediomu – Partner, Ediomu and Company (Council President)
2. CPA Alfred Beitwababo Kabuchu – Partner, Biz & Co. (Council Vice President)
3. CPA Dr. Albert Otete – Partner, J. Samuel Richards & Associates
4. CPA Christine Mugume – Partner, CMK & Co.
5. CPA Nancy Amuge Owino – Finance Manager, Uganda Civil Aviation Authority
6. CPA Sandra Nakibuule Batte – Associate Director, Markets & Business Development, Ernst & Young
7. CPA Annet Nantumbwe – Partner, Hill & Associates
8. CPA Dr. Fixon Akonya Okonye – Internal Auditor General of Uganda
9. CPA Stephen Ojiambo – Commissioner, Accounts – Inspections, Policy & Capacity Building, Ministry of Finance
10. CPA James Bantu – Assistant Auditor General – Audit, Office of the Auditor General
11. Representative of the Higher Education Officer, Ministry of Education and Sports (Position currently vacant)
12. CPA Derick Nkajja – Secretary/CEO, ICPAU
The Institute extended its heartfelt appreciation to the outgoing Council for their committed service to the accountancy profession and the nation.
The Council’s work will be supported by key governance structures, including the Public Accountants Examinations Board (PAEB), Quality Assurance Board, Disciplinary Committee, Disciplinary Appeals Committee, and other specialised functional committees.
