Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has reactivated his Twitter account, close to a week after it was deactivated.
“Never fear my followers and supporters,” said the Commander of UPDF Land Forces on Saturday while restoring his account.
“I’m back. I had some decisions to make,” he assured his followers.

His spokesman Lt Col Chris Magezi had earlier said Gen Muhoozi would not return to Twitter until billionaire Elon Musk takes reins of the social media platform.
“I shall rejoin Twitter when Elon Musk, a fellow African (and also the richest man on earth) acquires the whole company. At least then we will know the voice of the black man will be heard!” reads a message tweeted by Lt Col Magezi.

Before his account went off on April 11, Gen Muhoozi cited alleged sabotage by the tech company.
“I hear that some of us small voices for the billions of voiceless have been targeted by Big Tech for silencing. No worries! The undeniable truth of the oppressed masses shall always win!” he tweeted.
