Hotel Magnate, Hajj Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige commonly known as BMK is dead.
BMK 67, is reported to have died from complications related to cancer, which he has battled for the last four years.
He is renowned for his hotel chain business, ‘Hotel Africana’.
He also owned a construction company and a chain of spare parts outlets in Uganda, Dubai, Japan and Zambia.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni commiserated with the family of BMK saying he will forever be remembered for his indelible contribution towards building a fortune in Uganda and Africa.
“I commiserate with the family of Dr. Hajji Bulaimu Muwanga Kibirige (BMK), relatives, business associates, and well-wishers. Dr. Bulaimu will forever be remembered for his indelible contribution towards building a fortune in Uganda and Africa. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Museveni said.
According to a tentative burial program, BMK’s body will arrive in the country on Saturday at 2:00pm aboard a chartered Plane from Nairobi and he will be laid to rest in Nkoowe at 2.00pm on Sunday.
