Africa’s No.1 netball champions, She Cranes, have returned home from Cape Town in South Africa where they took part in the Netball World Cup 2023 competition.

“Africa’s finest touch base at Entebbe International Airport!” tweeted the Uganda Netball Federation Monday evening.

They returned home aboard the national carrier, Uganda Airlines.

The National Council of Sports said the “homecoming queens” will be treated to a grand reception at Kampala Serena Hotel.

“The government of Uganda will host the triumphant She Cranes to a grand reception at the Kampala Serena Hotel this evening,” NCS said.

It added: “The She Cranes put up stellar shows at the Netball World Cup in South Africa, finishing 5th overall as the top performing African nation.”

The high-flying ladies are now Number One in Africa.
